Intended for use by clinicians and patients for the collection of vaginal swab specimens, rectal swab specimens, and throat swab specimens, and for patient collection of penile meatal swab specimens or patient-collected vaginal swab specimens
May also be used by a clinician to collect lesion specimens, such as those presumed to be infected with herpes simplex virus (HSV)
Each kit contains: one sterile swab + one tube containing specimen transport medium (STM), 2.9 mL + one set of patient collection instructions for patient-collected vaginal swab specimens, rectal swab specimens, penile meatal swab specimens and throat swab specimens
